A wonderful tour that will allow us to visit two Central Asian republics, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, will begin in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. We will visit the ancient centers of Islamic civilization and culture, the ancient cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. Enjoy the unforgettable nature of Kyrgyzstan, visit Lake Issyk Kul, drive along the roads of great travelers and discover the cultural heritage of the ancient Turks.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to Tashkent
Meeting at the airport.Transfer to the hotel. Morning rest at leisure.
Afternoon sightseeing tour of Tashkent:
Half day visit old town of Tashkent: Hazrat Imam square and Chorsu bazar.
Overnight at hotel
Day 2: Tashkent – Samarkand
Morning drive to Samarkand. Upon the arrival to Samarkand check in to the hotel.
Afternoon sightseeing tour of Samarkand:
Registan Square and Gur Emir - mausoleum of Great Tamerlane.

Day 3: Samarkand
Full day sightseeing tour in Samarkand
Visit: Bibi Khanum mosque, the Silk Road bazaar and Shahi Zinda necropolis
Afternoon visit Afrosiab museum and site and Ulugbek’s observatory.

Day 4: Samarkand – Shakhrisabz – Bukhara
Morning drive to Bukhara en route sightseeing tour in Shakhrisabz the birthplace of the Great Amir Temur visit: Ak Saroy Palace ruins, Dorus Tilavat seminary, Kok Gumbaz mosque, Dorus Saidat and the Friday mosque
Late afternoon proceed to Bukhara
Upon arrival to Bukhara check in the hotel.

Day 5: Bukhara
Full day sightseeing tour: visit – Lab-i-khauz, madrassah Nadirkhon, Devanbegi, Khanaga, Mogaki Attari mosque, Poi Kalon minaret and mosque, Madrassahs Aziz Khan and Ulugbek
Afternoon visit: Ark Fortress, Balakhauz mosque, mausoleum of Ismail Samanid, Chashma Ayub

Day 6: Bukhara
Full day sightseeing in Bukhara
Morning visit to Sitora-i-Mokhikhosa, the summer residence of the former emir of Bukhara where you can see unique mixture of traditional Russian style of architecture harmoniously mixed with local oriental traditions. Afternoon visit to Bahauddin Naqshbandi Mausolem famous Sufi spiritual leader of this region in 14th century. Return to Bukhara and enjoy walking among old Bukharian streets

Day 7: Bukhara – Khiva (470 km)
Morning drive to Khiva via famous Kizil Kum desert (Red sands)

Day 8: Khiva – Urgench (30 km) - Tashkent
Full day city tour of Khiva - the museum under the open sky in the inner city Ichan Kala no transport, whole day walking tour.
12:00 check out the hotel
In the afternoon continue city tour of Khiva.
In the evening transfer to Urgench airport for flight to Tashkent

Day 9: Tashkent
Morning rest at leisure
Afternoon sightseeing tour of Tashkent half day visit new part of the city: Applied Art Museum, Mustakillik (Independence) Square in the heart of Tashkent. Later visit famous Tashkent Metro (underground) decorated with local marble and granite like underground palaces.

Day 10: Tashkent – Bishkek – Cholpon Ata
Early in the morning transfer to Tashkent Airport for flight to Bishkek
On arrival short introductory sightseeing of Bishkek to visit Ala-Too Square, the main square of Kyrgyzstan, Old Square, Manas Square called after Kyrgyz legendary hero Manas.
Later drive to Cholpon Ata, on the northern bank of Yssyk-Kul (hot lake), the second biggest mountain lake in the world after the Titicaca Lake., situated 1600 meters above the sea level.
Visit Burana tower and petroglyph’s field the on the way.

Day 11: Cholpon Ata – Karakol
Morning drive to Karakol. On the way visit to the Prejvalsky Museum located 12km from Karakol. It is situated just on the shore of the great lake. It was built to commemorate the famous Russian traveler and scientist Nikolai Prezhevalski, who dedicated 21 years of his life to the research of the Issik-Kul valley and the mountains surrounding the region.
Upon the arrival to Karakol visit the Russian Orthodox Cathedral. This pretty little church is one of the most amazing buildings in Karakol, mostly built of wood, and inside decorated with Icons, pictures and wall paintings.
The next place to see is Dungan Mosque - beautiful and unusual for local architecture building of the mosque is interesting. Old aged building of the mosque was built in Chinese style by Dungans and made of wood. It was built without a single nail.

Day 12: Karakol – Jety- Oguz (35 km) –Karakol
In the morning drive for full day tour to Jety-Oguz gorge.
The Alpine health resort Jety-Oguz lies near the river at the altitude of 2200 m. Situated in a picturesque canyon on the Northern slope of the Terskey Ala-Too range about 25 km South West of Karakol. It is a lovely place for one day walk and at the same time for many day treks, starting from easy form and up to the hardest. It is the place where you can see the real life of Kyrgyz people and walk along the gorge, visit nomad’s yurt.
In the afternoon, return to Karakol.

Day 13: Karakol – Bishkek (400 km)
In the morning drive to Bishkek via the southern shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. The road hugs the water’s edge and winds through remote Kyrgyz villages, against a spectacular backdrop of the Central Tien Shan Mountains.On arrival to Bishkek check in the hotel.

Day 14: Bishkek – Departure
Morning departure to the airport.
End of the tour.
